What is the Bluestem Wellness Partnership?

Our partnership with Bluestem Wellness connects foster, kinship, adoptive, and reunifying families to professional mental health care quickly and easily. Bluestem is a mental health clinic located in Lawrence offering both counseling and psychiatric services under one roof.

What to expect:

Families referred through Foster Village can typically expect to see a provider within a month or less — a significantly faster turnaround than most mental health clinics. Bluestem offers both in-person counseling and psychiatric care, including medication management. They accept most private insurance as well as state Medicaid plans, including KanCare.

Services through the Foster Village referral program are available for:

• Children and teens ages 3–18, including foster, kinship, adoptive, and biological children
• Foster and kinship parents
