Responsive Feeding

Eating is a vital part of our physical and social existence. Most of us love to eat, and every social gathering and celebration seems to include food. However, eating is not always easy for some children and adults. We will look at the various reasons that feeding kids can be difficult, as well as how we as caregivers might build trust, reduce stress and help children create a positive and safe relationship with food and nutrition.

In this presentation, we will explore evidenced based practices for feeding responsively.

Learning outcomes include:

*Recognize hunger cues

*Recognize signs of aversion

*Learn techniques for support physiological, emotional and sensory needs related to eating

*Catch a vision for helping children nourish their bodies and ENJOY eating
