This Giving Season, Be the Village for Local Foster Families
As you map out your 2024 holiday season giving plans, we invite you to be part of building a strong village for foster, adoptive, and kinship families in Northeast Kansas.
At Foster Village, our mission is to equip, connect, and advocate for these families walking the tough yet rewarding road of foster care. So far in 2024, we’ve had a total of 361 support moments with local children and families. Help us continue the momentum into 2025!
📅 On Cyber Monday (Dec 2), consider stocking our Resource Closet by shopping our Amazon Wish List.
These essential items help us provide Welcome Packs to children arriving into care with just the clothes on their backs. From brand-new stuffed animals and toys to basic clothing needs—your generosity wraps these children in love and comfort from day one. Simply purchase items from the list and they'll ship directly to our warehouse.
In this season, we especially have need for cozy fleece pajamas for boys and girls, size preemie through size 10.
📅 Then on Giving Tuesday (Dec 3), sustain the village all year long by becoming a monthly donor.
Your recurring gift, no matter the amount, enables us to provide consistent caregiver respite nights, support groups, training events, and crisis support. When you give monthly, you ensure local foster parents and caregivers always have a caring community to lean on through all the twists and turns of foster care.
$5 a month gives a box of diapers to a family caring for a new infant
$10 a month provides two hours of respite care so caregivers can recharge
$20 a month covers a Welcome Pack for a newly placed child
