Help for Summer Activities: Scholarships and Financial Aid for Foster Families

We know summer activities can be expensive. Foster Village Northeast KS is here to help! 

If you’re a foster parent looking to sign your child up for sports, dance, martial arts or camps, check out these great financial aid options.

Foster Village Youth Scholarship

We’re offering up to $500 per child for active extracurriculars like gymnastics, dance, martial arts, or team sports. We’ll pay the activity provider directly. 

To qualify, your child must:

  • Be in foster care and between 5–18 years old
  • Have a Douglas County case, be placed in Douglas County, or enroll in an activity in Douglas County

Lawrence Arts Center

Your child may qualify for financial aid for dance classes or camps based on your income. Fill out their online aid form here to enroll. Notify us if you receive financial assistance, and we’ll cover the rest.

Prime Martial Arts

Through our partnership with Prime, we’ll cover 3 months of karate classes for kids and teens ages 7-18 and provide a uniform.

Lawrence Parks and Recreation

They offer 50% off enrollment with their online aid form here. Foster Village will cover the other half!

Eudora Parks and Recreation

Families can get a $100 credit through financial aid by completing this form here. We’ll help with any remaining cost.

A-Team Sports

Join the kids membership program for access to training perks, facility benefits, and special events. They’re offering a heavily discounted rate to Foster Village families of $500 for 3 months, ages 8-18. Download full details here.
