The Team

Amira began volunteering with Foster Village Northeast KS through Caregiver Nights Out and now serves as the Childcare Volunteer Coordinator. In this role, she recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who provide childcare for children during support groups and caregiver respite events. Amira is passionate about helping kids feel known and supported.

Amira grew up in western Kansas and now lives in Lawrence. She holds a degree in microbiology and works full time as a supervisor at a contract research organization.
